Exhibitions – Bawdswell

On Saturday 17 March 2018, our small O gauge group  – which consists of Kelvin Barnes, Graham Minshull and myself – took part in a small but happy and busy model railway exhibition in the small village of Bawdswell in Norfolk.

It was a good exhibition supported by local groups and people on the local railway exhibition circuit and it was good to see a healthy amount of O gauge layouts present. Despite being next to a very impressive and noisy DCC controlled steam depot layout, Kelvin’s layout Morlock health attracted lots of attention and positive comments from those who stayed for a good look and a chat. On this occasion, we backdated the stock to a pre-tops era which gave me a chance to use my little fleet and various items from our individual collections of rolling stock.  Graham and I also got to put our Class 25 diesel engines together again which always goes down well. Both were weathered by Kelvin but Graham’s has had an extensive ‘nose job’. You can read about it and see just Kelvin had to do to get the final result by clicking here!

A few pictures are supplied here to show some of the items which ran during the day.
